I fell in love with photography

at one of my mother’s bridal gown photo shoots!    maybe I was 11.
I remember I got to play hookie from school and model a flower girl dress
for a Victoria Magazine photographer.
I hated wearing dresses!  They were so itchy, and girly,
but those photographers...I wanted to be like them!

First came the darkroom, then the associates degree,
and then came a baby! and then another baby...

 a lifetime later...
I’m still amazed at how looking through
the lens makes me feel so alive!
